Validate your business idea — from idea to project

Trying to please « everyone » means reaching nobody. The persona is a detailed portrait of your ideal customer: one specific person, whom you address as you would a friend.

What goes into a persona sheet

Lea, 32 Freelancer in Lyon Goals • Save time • Look professional to clients • Keep her budget under control Channels: Instagram, Google Frustrations (pain points) • Loses hours on admin • Tools too costly and complex • Afraid of invoicing mistakes Budget: 20 to 40 €/month Typical quote “I want to invoice in 2 minutes and be sure I haven’t forgotten anything for URSSAF.” What Lea says out loud sums up the need to solve.

The key sections

  • Identity: first name, age, situation, job (make them feel alive).
  • Goals: what they are trying to achieve.
  • Frustrations: what is stopping them from getting there today.
  • Budget and channels: how much they can pay, where they get their information.

A good persona fits on one page and is built from your real interviews, not your imagination. Once Lea is clearly defined, every decision (messaging, price, channel) becomes obvious: « does this help Lea? ».

Key takeaway: the persona is a precise portrait of your ideal customer (identity, goals, frustrations, budget). It guides every decision you make.
