Managing your day-to-day sales on the Postdy marketplace

Every order goes through a series of stages called statuses. The status shows where the order stands, for you and for the buyer. Understanding it and keeping it up to date prevents misunderstandings and complaints.

The life cycle of an order

Here is the typical journey, from sale to closure. At each stage you update the status from the order page.

New to process Being prepared Shipped Delivered completed You move the order from one status to the next at every stage.

What each status means

  • To process: the order is paid and you need to take it on.
  • Being prepared: you are gathering and packing the items.
  • Shipped: the parcel has left, ideally with a tracking number.
  • Completed: the order has been delivered and closed; this is usually the moment when the buyer can leave a review.

Tip: update the status as you go, not at the end of the day. The buyer follows the order in real time on their side, and an accurate status sharply reduces the number of « where is my order? » messages.

Key point: an order moves from « to process » to « completed » via « being prepared » and « shipped ». Keep the status current in real time to reassure the buyer.
