Managing your day-to-day sales on the Postdy marketplace

Preparation is the stage where you turn an order on screen into a parcel ready to go. Doing it carefully avoids mistakes, breakages and returns — all classic sources of bad reviews.

Check before you pack

Open the order page and move the status to « being prepared ». Check point by point:

  • The right item, the right variant (size, colour) and the right quantity.
  • The delivery address, complete and legible.
  • Any message or request from the buyer (gift wrapping, a specific detail).

Packaging that protects and reassures

  • Choose a container suited to the size and fragility of the product.
  • Pad it with paper or protective material so the item cannot move around.
  • Slip the invoice or a delivery note inside (see the next lesson).
  • A short thank-you note often makes the difference and encourages a good review.

Plan ahead to work fast

Always keep a stock of boxes, tape and labels within reach. An organised seller packs an order in a few minutes; a seller caught unprepared loses time and risks mistakes. Example: packing your parcels at the same time every day lets you keep a steady dispatch time, which buyers appreciate.

Key point: move the order to « being prepared », check item, variant, quantity and address, then pack carefully and include the invoice. Being organised prevents mistakes and returns.
