Growing your shop on the Postdy marketplace

On the marketplace, buyers can neither touch nor try your product. The photo replaces the in-store experience: it is what triggers the click, then the desire to buy. A poor photo cancels out every other effort you make.

The rules of a good photo

  • Natural light: near a window, no harsh flash, during daylight hours.
  • Neutral background: a light wall or a plain surface makes the product stand out.
  • Sharpness: steady your camera and focus on the product.
  • Framing: the product fills most of the image, nicely centred.

Show every angle

One photo is never enough. Multiply the viewpoints to remove doubt and avoid unpleasant surprises:

  • A clear main photo, used as the thumbnail in search results.
  • Close-up shots (material, finish, texture).
  • A lifestyle shot (the product in use, worn, in context) so buyers can picture themselves with it.
  • A photo that shows scale (next to a familiar object, or with the dimensions).

The first image is decisive: it is the one that appears in product listings. Choose the most attractive and the most readable at small size. If it does not stand out among dozens of others, nobody clicks your listing.

Key takeaway: the photo replaces trying the product in a shop. Natural light, neutral background, sharpness and several angles including a lifestyle shot: above all, get the main photo right.
