Managing your day-to-day sales on the Postdy marketplace

A seller who runs their business well does not simply endure their finances: they plan ahead. Two tools make that possible: the statements in your dashboard and simple cash flow management.

Reading your statements

Statements summarise, period by period, everything coming in and going out. You will find:

  • The total sales and the number of orders.
  • The commissions deducted.
  • Any refunds granted to buyers.
  • The payouts already made to your account.

Export or note these figures regularly: they feed your bookkeeping and let you measure your progress month after month.

Planning your cash flow

Cash flow is the money actually available at a given moment. Three habits:

  1. Separate turnover (what you sell) from what you genuinely keep (after commission and packaging/shipping costs).
  2. Set money aside to cover upcoming refunds and expenses; do not spend your whole balance.
  3. Watch the trend: compare your months to spot quiet periods and sales peaks.

Example: over one month, 2,000 € in sales, 200 € of commission, 150 € of packaging and shipping, 50 € of refunds — what you really keep is 1,600 €. That net figure, not the 2,000 € on display, is what should guide your decisions.

Key point: read your statements regularly (sales, commissions, refunds, payouts) and think in terms of net money available. Set funds aside and watch the trend for healthy cash flow.
