UX Design Fundamentals

UX is never « finished ». It is a cycle of continuous improvement: you design, you test, you learn, you adjust, then you start again.

Measuring to make progress

  • Conversion rate — how many users reach the goal.
  • Drop-off rate — where people leave the journey.
  • Time spent and perceived ease on a task.
  • Satisfaction gathered through short surveys.

You combine quantitative data (what people do) with qualitative feedback (why they do it). Every iteration starts from a hypothesis: « if we simplify this form, fewer people will abandon it ». Then you measure the actual result. This evidence-based approach avoids random decisions and moves the product forward with every cycle.

Well done: you now know the fundamentals of UX, from research through to continuous improvement. Always design for the human!
