Mastering Photoshop

A good designer isn’t just fast: they’re organised. These habits will save you a lot of trouble.

Reflexes worth building

  • Name every layer and group them into folders.
  • Work non-destructively (masks, adjustment layers, smart objects).
  • Save often in PSD format (Ctrl/Cmd + S).
  • Use the History panel to step back.

Before you deliver

Check the size, the resolution and the format expected. Export a lightweight web version and keep the source PSD.
