A project without deadlines tends to drag on forever. Trello lets you add a due date to every card to keep up the pace.
How it works
- Open a card, click « Dates » and pick a due date (and a time if you need one).
- The date appears directly on the card, visible without opening it.
- As the deadline nears, the badge turns orange, then red once the date has passed.
- Once the task is finished, tick the date to mark it complete.
You can also set a start date to visualise how long a task runs, and switch on a reminder that notifies you before the deadline.
Key takeaway: a visible deadline creates healthy pressure and stops things slipping through the cracks.
