Two details build the reputation of a professional seller: providing a clear invoice and communicating at the right moment. These simple gestures reassure the buyer and limit misunderstandings.
Generating and including the invoice
The Postdy marketplace lets you generate an invoice for every order. From the order page, open the invoice option: you get a document listing your seller details, the buyer’s details, the items, the amount and the date.
- Include it in the parcel (printed and slipped inside the packaging).
- Or send it to the buyer through the messaging if they ask for it.
- Always keep a copy for your own bookkeeping.
Communicating well, at the right moments
You do not need to write a lot — you need to write the right thing. The three key moments:
- When the order comes in: a short confirmation and thank-you note.
- At dispatch: announce the send-off and repeat the tracking number.
- After delivery: check everything is fine and invite the buyer, without pressure, to leave a review.
Use a polite, clear and positive tone. Example of a dispatch message: « Hello, your order #10248 has just been sent. You can follow it with the tracking number provided. Enjoy, and do get in touch if you need anything! » Simple, warm, effective.
Key point: generate one invoice per order (to include or to send, and to keep for your bookkeeping) and communicate at the three key moments — confirmation, dispatch, after delivery — in a polite, clear tone.
