As soon as a buyer pays for one of your items on the Postdy marketplace, an order appears in your seller dashboard. Spotting it straight away is already good service: the faster you react, the more reassured the buyer feels.
Where does a new order show up?
From your seller dashboard, open the Orders section. Every new sale appears at the top of the list, usually highlighted with a « to process » label. At a glance you can see:
- The order number (a unique reference such as #10248).
- The date and time of purchase.
- The item or items ordered and the quantity.
- The amount paid and the buyer’s name.
Never let one slip through
An order you have not seen means a customer left waiting. Build three good habits:
- Turn on email alerts so you are notified with every sale (see the lesson on notifications).
- Check your dashboard at least once or twice a day, at set times.
- Open the order and read the details: delivery address, any message from the buyer, options chosen.
Example: a buyer orders at 9 a.m. If you confirm that you are on it before lunchtime, they feel in safe hands; if they wait two days with no news, doubt is already creeping in. Responsiveness costs nothing and changes everything.
Key point: every sale creates an order visible in the « Orders » section of your dashboard. Spot it fast thanks to alerts and a regular check-in routine.
