Becoming a seller on the Postdy marketplace: opening your shop

One question always comes up before opening a shop: « how much will I earn, and how? ». On the Postdy marketplace the principle is simple and transparent: you set your own prices, and a commission is taken on each sale.

You stay in control of your prices

You decide the selling price of every product in your shop. You can adjust it at any time from your seller dashboard, run promotions or apply different price points across your ranges.

Commission: the cost of the service

On every sale, the marketplace takes a percentage in exchange for everything it brings you: the audience, secure payment, the storefront and the tools. That is what is called the commission. The rest is yours: those are your earnings.

  • Selling price: the amount the buyer pays, set by you.
  • Commission: the share the marketplace takes on the sale.
  • Your earnings: what is left, paid into your account when you withdraw.

A concrete example

Say you sell an item for 50 € and the commission is 10%. The marketplace takes 5 €, leaving you 45 € in earnings. You can follow all of this clearly from your dashboard: sales figures, commission taken and the balance available for withdrawal.

Good habit: keep the commission in mind when you set your prices, so that your margin stays comfortable once it has been deducted.

Key takeaway: you set your prices freely; on each sale a commission is taken and the remainder becomes your earnings, tracked in your dashboard.
