Creating and managing your products on the Postdy marketplace

Most listings that fail to sell suffer from the same flaws. The good news : these mistakes are easy to fix once you know them. Let’s review the most common ones.

The classic traps

  • A vague title : « Gorgeous item » says nothing. People want to know what it is, right away.
  • A single photo, or dark photos : the buyer cannot picture the product.
  • A description that is too short and leaves out dimensions, material or use.
  • An inconsistent price (too low and quality is doubted ; unexplained when it is high).
  • The wrong category : the product becomes impossible to find for the people looking for it.
  • Stock that is never updated : selling a sold-out item disappoints buyers and damages your reputation.

The fresh-eyes rule

Before publishing, reread your listing as if you had never seen the product. Ask yourself three questions : « Do I understand what this is ? Do I have everything I need to decide ? Does it make me feel confident ? ». If you hesitate on any of them, the buyer will hesitate too.

A good habit : show your listing to someone close to you who does not know the product. Their questions reveal exactly what is missing.

Key takeaway : a vague title, a single photo, a description that is too short, the wrong category and untracked stock are the most frequent mistakes. Always reread your listing with fresh eyes before publishing.
