A good designer isn’t just fast: they’re organised. These habits will save you a lot of trouble.
Reflexes worth building
- Name every layer and group them into folders.
- Work non-destructively (masks, adjustment layers, smart objects).
- Save often in PSD format (Ctrl/Cmd + S).
- Use the History panel to step back.
Before you deliver
Check the size, the resolution and the format expected. Export a lightweight web version and keep the source PSD.
Well done: you now know how to open, cut out, retouch, style and export an image in Photoshop. You’re on your own two feet!
