Layer styles add visual effects to a layer in a single click, and stay editable for as long as you like.

Common effects

• Drop Shadow — lifts an element off the background.

Applying them

Double-click a layer to open the Layer Style dialog. The effects are listed under the layer and can be switched back on with a click.
