Creating and managing your products on the Postdy marketplace

Not everything you sell is necessarily an object to ship. The Postdy marketplace also handles downloadable products and services : the logic stays the same, with a few specific settings.

Downloadable products

  • Ideal for a file : printable template, e-book, music, sewing pattern, graphic resource.
  • You tick the « downloadable product » option and attach the file to the listing.
  • After payment, the buyer automatically receives a download link : nothing to ship on your side.

Services

For a service (lessons, consulting, custom creation), there is nothing to ship and often no stock to deduct. In that case you can :

  1. Describe precisely what is included (duration, number of sessions, deliverable).
  2. Turn off stock management if the service is unlimited in quantity.
  3. Spell out the terms in the description : lead time, process, what you need from the client.

Take an example : a graphic designer sells a « logo design » for 150 €. The listing describes the stages, the number of proposals, the turnaround and the file format delivered. The buyer orders it like any other product ; the seller, meanwhile, knows exactly what they have committed to deliver.

Key takeaway : beyond physical objects, you can sell downloadable files (link sent automatically) and services (describe precisely what is included).
