Space is a design tool in its own right: it lets the page breathe and creates hierarchy.

Margin and padding

• Padding = the inner space of an element (between its edge and its content).
• Margin = the outer space (between the element and its neighbours).

These settings live in the Advanced tab. Generous vertical padding on your sections (80 px top and bottom, for instance) instantly makes a page look professional.

Backgrounds

A section can have a solid colour, a gradient, an image or a video as its background (the section’s Style tab). Watch the contrast: your text must stay readable.

Key point: more space means more clarity. When in doubt, add breathing room.
